Heard Mr.B.Nedunchezhiyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Mahesh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of writ of mandamus forbearing the second respondent from collecting the service tax for the remaining lease period of 2013-14. Since the lease period itself is over and no interim order was granted in the writ petition, the prayer sought for in the writ petition as on date does not survive for consideration. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
